Fly with A380

I am awed. No, make it dumbstruck. Just looking at this gigantic flying machine – the Lufthansa Airbus A380 #LufthansaA380, makes me gape at the screen ! Imagine boarding and flying in it…sigh…what an experience that’ll be !

The Airbus A380 is a double-deck, wide-body, four-engine jet airliner manufactured by Airbus. It is the world’s largest passenger airliner, and the airports at which it operates have upgraded facilities to accommodate it. Now, New Delhi is one among such airports. It’s a moment of pride and happiness to see this Jumbo aircraft make way into the Indian sub-continent, with all due credit to Lufthansa !

“With the new A380, customers will be able to experience Lufthansa’s latest in-flight products and services including the state-of-the art first class and the launch of A380 underlines our commitment to provide Indian customers with the best Lufthansa experience worldwide,” said Wolfgang Will, Lufthansa’s Director (South Asia). – quotes Business Standard.

The A380 is the largest and heaviest passenger aircraft in the world. It is 73 meters long, 24 meters high, and has a takeoff weight of up to 560 tons. The Lufthansa A380 seats 526 passengers, and its four Rolls-Royce engines each generate 70000 lbs of thrust. That‘s the rough equivalent of what 3500 cars could produce. Ecologically speaking, too, the A380 raises the bar. The megaliner is quieter than other planes, uses less fuel and can even “think” for itself and automatically apply the brakes after landing on the runway.

Now, doesn’t that dazzle you ?? It can think for itself and its humongous size and engine power makes other airliners look smaller.

The Indian Aviation Sector is in the process of tremendous growth with an increasing number of passengers and cargo in the next 20 years and this growth is going to be accelerated by many other factors.  The Indian Airports are being re-designed and renovated to accommodate more flights and passengers, enabling the process of growth. Also, private players in the Airport Infrastructure field are making the Airports in India more sophisticated and a world-class one, enabling many foreign airliners to think of making a stop in India with a flight or two.

With such a big growth foretold for the Indian Aviation Industry, here comes the A380 to make way for such progress in the right direction.  With almost 526 passenger capacity / flight, the A380 is all about being big.   What with the Tourists and Students flocking to foreign lands on the rise, bigger airliners are the need of the hour.

Lufthansa’s in-flight Catering service – Sky Chefs is another feather in the cap for this Airlines. With the amazing array of dishes making the eating experience more Indian than it can be, this is one of the biggest reasons which will make Lufthansa A380 a huge success in the Indian Aviation Sector.lufthansa

Watch this new Lufthansa ad created for the Indian market !
While Lufthansa is well-known for safety, reliability, class and perfection, this Ad brings in the emotional connect of the brand with the Indians.  The Indian crew on board, Indian movies, Indian food – all these make a greater impact on the Indians who wish to travel by the A380.

There are 101 small things that makes an airline stand apart. For some people, it could be as simple as the choice of movies.  For others, it could be the food. And for many others, it could be the leg space in the Economy class.  And for a travel blogger, it could be a fabulous thing to find the blankets and headsets already on the seats. And when it comes to Lufthansa, rest assured that all small things are given priority and taken care of .

So, what are you waiting for ??
