Solitude

Somehow my instagram stories are giving me the spark to write everyday.

As much as I love the crowded streets of Ranganathan street in T.Nagar, I love the solitude of sipping my tea and enjoying that moment with myself. The early morning cup of coffee before the whole house is up is something so special and it energizes me a lot! I can actually spend the whole day without talking to anyone and just be contented with my thoughts. A book will help surely, if I need a break.

I also enjoy soothing Rafi songs in the background giving me the comfort of those moments where only me and the voice of Rafi exists! I can go about doing something or other inside my home and without watching that idiot box.

And my new found love is mandala coloring, which is helping me to bring clarity to my thoughts which sometimes runs in eight different directions.

I used to be so lost in my thoughts about what I did and what I didn’t do and that used to lead to self-criticism and it was stressing me too much. But the past year has taught me many lessons and one among that is not to be self-critical in any situation.

As my insta story goes, that is not loneliness for me, its absolute freedom to do what I want, to think what I want.

So, what about you? Do you love your solitude? 😀
