I was a crazy addict to Koffee with Karan when that program started, way back with Season 1. But then slowly the addiction started to fade off with the regular people coming over every season…
And on Sunday, I watched the Season 5 episode just because Mrs. Funny Bones was coming. Yes, I try to read most of her columns in TOI and when I read that she’s coming on TV, I just knew it was Karan’s show.
Of all the things she said in the show, the last part just resonated with the mother in me !
“I talk to my son about everything – drugs, sex, movies – anything ! I just want to keep the whole list of topics open for him. If in his life he comes across such a thing, he knows that there’s this umbrella of mine that he can come to for support.”
Yes, that’s me – totally me ! A big Hi-5 to Twinkle on this one !

I never was a fan of Twinkle during her movie days, but as she started writing she completely hooked me in. I too watched it coz she was gonna be there on the show and Loved it!

As an actress, she never got my attention, but her columns, tweets and then her book made me sit up and look at her. She is funny! I wanted to see her on Koffee with Karan, but missed it. Read some excerpts of the chat and I am regretting missing it even more!

I never miss her columns too. She is so unapologetic and frank about her views that it comes off as funny and refreshing. I missed it, but am looking out for reruns. I passed off the first one though. Seen enough of Shahrukh.

I think they were house on fire, I loved the show so much so that I watched it again on Hot Star 🙂 I had never paid attention to Twinkle but this show brought forward her persona and I’m so in love with her, for her candidness, her candor, frankness and the clarity of thoughts that she posses..the parent that she is and the wife and friend she is to Akshay… it was all so romantic yet earthy, no ? So very unlike and different from what other regular actors come and do (pretend) on the show 🙂
And yes the last but from her really ticked with me as well, that’s what I intend to do with my kids and I think to certain extent I do it already with different topics right now at this stage of course

on the same note of candidness , I loved this interview too, I think he’s never been so open and out and frank about his opinions ever and I liked all the philosophies that he’s shared… quite practical and so much him!

This episode I believe is one of the best of all seasons. Love her quick and witty responses. Such a practical person. And just like you I absolutely loved her take on parenting teens.

I am big fan of KWK, Karan Johar and I agree Twinkle was a cracker like she always is in all her interviews.
That is a parenting lesson that tugged at my heartstrings right away 🙂

I am an addict too! Have watched all the seasons. And yes, it did get a little predictable in between.. Missed the twinkle akshay episode though 😦 have heard good things about that episode.

Wow! that sure resonates with me too!! Ammu is always fascinated by the fact that she can fearlessly share everything with me whereas her friends are not inclined to share certain things with their parents.. I do feel so proud 🙂
