Microblog Mondays – When I crossed 40…

When I crossed 40, I knew I was nearing the stage when my girls will finish school and go their own ways. Now I am facing and preparing myself for the Empty Nest syndrome !

What I didn’t anticipate was…
– My eyes aged Β 40 even before I crossed 40. So had to go in for reading glasses earlier than others.
– I keep papers /documents safely but forget that safe place…sigh….this has become a big joke at home !
– The most important paper in my life has become my To-do-list sheet, which I make almost everyday. Without that, I feel that I’ve not done anything efficiently.
– And I’ve become forgetful. Sometimes I stand in front of a open refrigerator and think “Why the hell did I open it?” Yes, its pretty bad sometimes.

If you are in the forties and have had similar experience, hi-5 with me πŸ˜€

  1. 1 I am fighting tooth and nail with my eyes and refusing to give them the reading glasses they so sorely need.
    2.My soul sister.
    3. I am usually searching for my to-do-list because I carry it with me all the time, lest I forget tasks that need to be performed, and leave it wherever I wrote the last task, which I don’t remember anyway…vicious circle, I say.
    4. You say “sometimes”? You lucky woman.

  2. I have 9 more years to cross 40 but feels like Im already there. πŸ™‚ I’m always forgetful especially when it comes to things which are safely kept. πŸ˜‰ I have glasses not for reading, for seeing in general. Plus I have backpain, can’t do heavy lifting. Looks like your 40 isn’t half bad, Uma. πŸ™‚

  3. I will not only high-five you, but I will add that I need my to-do list in my bullet journal or I lose the to-do list! Though the journal is so big and so red that it’s difficult to misplace.
