When me and my younger sister were in school, exams always happened on same days, as we were just 2 classes apart in school. So, both of us needed to study on the same days, putting in that extra effort. And we used to read out aloud sometimes making it difficult for the other person to study. Thankfully, our biological clocks worked differently.
While I used to stay up late in the night and study, my sister used to sleep early and get up early to study. As I hit the bed to sleep, she’ll get up to study. ha ha…we complemented each other, then and even now 😀
And now I see my younger daughter sleeping early and getting up early to study, I just cannot but think about my sister. My elder daughter used to stay up late to study, like me 🙂
Even now….getting up early is difficult for me…sigh !
How about you ??

I am more of an early bird. In college, I would rather go to sleep late, but not too late, and get up 4am to continue studying. Somehow it worked well for me. 🙂 It’s so funny that your daughters are opposites like you and your sister!

Uma, I used to be the type who could get up early – even 2 am, if necessary. But now, I’d rather stay up late. Funny how I’ve changed, no?

Getting up early is hard for me…but I have been doing it for the last couple of years. I love getting a lot of things done before the rest of my family is awake and the day “officially” starts. But getting out of bed in the dark still seems crazy to me. It wasn’t that long ago, really, that I was just falling asleep in the hours that I’m now getting up.

Not unusual for me (especially the last few a years) to rise at 5 am after only having turned in for sleep after midnight. I will re-coup on the weekends by taking an afternoon nap.

I used to do both – sleep late and wake up early. It always depended on the subject for me!! LOL!
nowadays, growing older has ensured that I prefer my early mornings.. the quiet before the routine. 🙂

I’m something inbetween – former night owl, now I’m an early bird. It’s a somewhat confusing mixture 😀

Every single morning is a struggle. Every single morning I have to talk myself into going downstairs and doing yoga. I am definitely a night person.

I used to think I was a night owl, then a morning person.
I finally worked out I need the morning light- if I wake early with the light, I am a morning person, otherwise I am up late

I totally work better as a night owl, but nowadays I have to wake up early in order to get in morning exercise before getting ready for the day!

Definitely not a morning person! No way. Though I need my sleep too, so late nights aren’t always good for me. (Not TOO late anyway.)
