The Female Blogoaddict

Two years back, when she was not aware of the existence of the blogosphere…..

after the regular house work is done with, hubby and kids out to office and school respectively, she is quite bored with life.

the routine checking of mail doesn’t provide anything interesting to pass her time.

she has made a few friends in this new apartment, she has shifted recently.

sometimes, she goes out with her new found friends, or the friends join together for a coffee get-together. that was the ultimate fun for her. she was very happy and satisfied that she is able to spend some fun time.

early evenings were occupied by kids, shopping and planning for the next day.

then the waiting for the hubby dear starts. she is frustrated when he is late, when he is over working himself, when he attends office parties. even, when hubby comes home early, there are moments when she is irritated. he is always on the mobile sorting out some problem over the phone, giving instructions for next day’s promotional activity or there is something that keeps him busy, while at home too.

she doesn’t know what to do.  she is bored, irritated, longing for company.

Now a days….. (after getting properly inducted into the blogosphere)

after the regular house work is done with, hubby and kids out to office and school respectively, she is waiting to log onto her internet.

the mail box is flooded with so many interesting stuff that she enjoys replying to.

she is an active and addictive member of the blogosphere and she takes great pride in it.

she is absolutely thrilled with the number of friends she has made in this very short time.

she and her blogo friends converse /interact / argue very well about various issues and laugh together at times.  she is loving this time.

she is so engrossed sometimes, that she forgets to eat lunch in time. after some growling noises from the tummy, does she have a quick lunch.

early evenings with kids and the regular shopping and planning and cooking dinner happens in a flash, now.

she longs to login, to know what is happening in the blogoworld.

alas, the hubby comes home early. hubby dear is excited as he is happy to be spending more time with family. (may be the recession is making him come home early, but it is booming in the blogosphere)

now, she longingly looks at the comp and then back at hubby.

she talks with him, listens to his day’s blah blah, watches the old cricket matches with him, listens to kapil dev’s and sachin’s great feats for the hundredth time, hears him talk about bruce lee, sylvestor, arnold’s body building techniques for the thousandth time, eats dinner with him – but her mind is somewhere logged into the nets of the web, searching for comments on her blog / replies to her comments / her friends’ comments on a particular topic.

how can she manage this night without checking out her comments ??? how will she get some gud sleep ???  isn’t this the time, when her blogo friends from the other side of the world will be logging in and typing out their comments ???  doesn’t she have to know what those wonderful comments are ????

the hubby dear, who loves her so much, understands the turmoil that’s she is undergoing.

the darling he is, he tells her to check the mail inbox and come back quickly.

in a happy stride she vanishes from the living room to the comp.

she happily obliges his request to finish up quickly, for she loves him so much.

the comment section done with, she is blissfully in sleep.

    1. You know, whenever I get 5 mins break – like when the chai is happening, the rice is cooking – something that gives me a 5 min break – I am there at the comp, checking out new posts / comments / replies to my comments – Its so much fun and I love it here. And you are right – I have no free time, now a days.
